These can be Very Tough animals, but they are no match for 475 Linbaughs and/or the 500 JRH. I shot this one with the 500 JRHwith the 425 grain hard cast bullet and broke the onside shoulder. This put the brakes on the moving Bovine. I then switched over to the 475 Linebaugh with 420 grain Bufflo Bore LFN hard cast and put 2 more rounds into him and one of them brokethe offside should. All three round exited the Buffalo. The beasts head was still up so I put a round into the sid of the skull just below the horn with the 500 JRH and the bullet weent through the Brain and lodged in the offside of the skull. Unbelievably the Animla was still breathing so I put a 475 round through it's forhead an the party was over. Ths bullet was recovered in the neck it pentrated about 18 to 20 or inches.

What did it weight. Let me know how the thing tastes. My buddy who owns the bison hunting deal here localy just told us last week that he was getting 70 of them. If so ill probably at least pop a cow for meat if its any good.

Yes I shot a Grizz that came in on a Moose kill that I was working on. Jimmy shot first and the Grizz went down and immediately got up. I then fired 1 round from my 475 and that ended that.

The 2 Moose (One I took with my 475 and the other Jimmy took) the other Grizz that David killed with his 375 H&H

Nice going!

But I thought someone must have spiked the eggnog when I first opened the thread and saw 16 photos! Big Grin

Two questions: Do you mind disclosing the ranch or outfitter, and about what did the animal weigh?

Thee "natives" would more than likely be Texans from the Hill Country or southern portion of the state... jumping
