Greetings from Norway! Just bought a GP 100 silver, and have been looking for some way to mount a scope on it. The only bases i have found are "full lenght", meaning you have to remove front or/and rear sights. Looks to me as there is plenty of steel above the frame/barrel to mount some kind of 2-piece bases. Has anyone of you tried this, or know of other good ideas?? Øystein

All of the ones I know about either require you to remove the front and/or rear sights (B-square) or require you to drill and tap holes (Wiegand). Sorry. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson

oeho O look at that big heavy top strap and rib on top of the barrel and wonder what mount could be mounted with screws. A single piece like the Weaver #92 with modifications to fit the flat surfaces seems a no-brainer. I would think Ruger and someone would pair up for a scope mount that did NOT require removing any existing sights. I plan to make a handmade mount or two this summer.
