A Canned Hunt

jwp475A Canned Hunt
I come into some expired 1 quart cans of juice that had gone bad and thought that I could shoot them and see what happens with the 45 and the 9mm
The 9mm went through 3 cans and caused a small hole (enough to leak) on the back side of the fourth can
None of the cans were knocked off of the stump. The load was the 124 grain XTP from Fiocchi
The fourth can
The 5 cans that the 45 went through with the 255 grain hard cast load from Buffalo Bore
Al five cans were knocked off of the stump
Make your own conclusions from this information, but make mine a 45

I have come to the conclusion you are an ass. Do I win?

The Fiochii 124 grain used in the test is advertised at 1290 fps for 458 FPE
The 255 grain Buffalo Bore load is advertised at 925 FPS for 484 FPE.
For a difference of 26 FPE. Are you saying that 26 FPE makes the huge amount of difference in the damage done by the 2 cartridges?
Perhaps a more logical conclusion would be there are other factors at play and your "Holy Grail of FPE" is flawed
