The muzzel brake on the S&W 500 works fine for me. With scope on it also adds more weight and knocks the recoil right down.

They gotta be nuts, lol. $300 for a different brake. I dont see anyone buying one.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I agree, the price of the tool steel it is made of would cost about ten cents if bought in small quantities. Bought in a large lot it would be far less. Then to have a machine cut it with no help from human hands adds almost nothing to the cost. $20 would be a price where many would buy it and they could make a good profit from volume instead of getting rich from a few.
Then if you wanted to sell the gun and told the buyer you payed $300 for that little piece on the end, he would laugh at you. Doesn't add anything to the value of the gun and you would take a HUGE loss on the selling price.
For $300, I would just buy another gun.

If life were only that simple.

It is not made out of tool steel, it is modular and yes CNC machined out of 5 parts and assembled by a robot welder in an argon fixture, Then normalized, polished, coated inside and etched.

This unit is totaly cad cam and desinged on flow software. For its size and weight it makes the 500 and 460 shooting heavy loads very comfortable to shoot.

Watch Guns and Ammo this summer for an ammunition test with over 1500 rounds fired.

The 460 is even more of a handfull than the 500 and a test like this would be impossible without the brake.

While touring the local military museum i noted a break on a 75mm pack howitzer ( used in the Argon Forest)that might just bring the new .460 recoil level down to say 200 ft. lbs. or so . It probably will throw the balance of a bit - 35 lbs muzzle heavy- but for those who buy the big dogs it might be necessary roflmao just kidding all Charlie

I don't think anyone doubts it isnt well made. It simply is not worth $300. What would you get for your $300
