| I'd go with the shorter 4 5/8 as it will carry a little bit more conveniently, not much but a little bit.
velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

+1 Got one.....love it. Thinking about getting one in 5 1/2 too. You might as well go on and get both.

| I bought a 5 1/2" Ruger 44 special Bisley last spring. It is very accurate and has become one of my favorites. I just like the looks and balance of the 5 1/2" barrel. |

I have two Ruger old Vaqueros Bisley in 45 Colt and love the frame on both of them for recoil control but like the 5.5" barrel over the 4 5/8". |

Personal preference, but you can't go wrong with either. Better yet get one of each

| Which barrel length do you shoot best?
Does length of sighting plane affect your shooting?
I personally shoot better with a longer barrel, but I know everyone's not that way. |

As this will not be a primary hunting Revolver ,barrel length does not matter. Ease of carry is more important, but at the right price I will take either one. |
