Great revolver.
Handy and easy to carry.
Fine with standard factory loads etc, but those Ruger grip stocks just don't work with my hands once things start sounding like "320gr GC at 1300fpsMV"

There's just not enough to hang on to, and I'm wondering if I'm the only guy who thinks they'd be better off with a set of replacement stocks for their Redhawk.

Hardwood is nice, Karl Nill seems to have a good eye for style/function...

That's pushing $150.00 with shipping.

Isn't there something out there available for the Redhawk that actually *looks like a set of revolver stocks*, is made of hardwood, and stands a chance of filling a grown man's hand, but won't cost a third of what the revolver itself is worth to start with?

Someone please show me the way...

Cheers
Tinker

Go to reedercustomguns.com and look at his "gunfighter" grips on the redhawk. He has a page of grips on his website. I have one of his custom nighthawks with the gunfighter grips. Makes a big difference...much better in handling recoil and looks darn nice too. Check it out.

Thanks for the note Woody

These look so similar to the factory grip stocks, as seen here...

I'm looking for a significantly different stock design, like the Nill shown in the top post.
The factory profile just isn't nearly enough go fill my hand, the revolver rolls up and over in my hand in recoil.
The price is more than I want to pay though - perhaps it's time to take a tour of the exotic hardwood scrap pile at the local hardwood supply shop.

Cheers
Tinker

Take a look at CLCcustomgrips.com too. I have a lot of his grips on my ruger single actions. Perhaps he can make what you need. He has a nice wood variety too.
