Joe Mack.....In the S&W guns, if you want top loads try H110/WW296. It is the only powder I've found that you run out of space before you run out of pressure. In the S&W guns ejection is smooth and there is no primer flattening. Have used 23 grains of H110 with the Speer 200,210 and 220 bullets, 210 and 220 Sierra bullets, 210 Nosler bullet and 210 Hornady HP, XTPHP and FMJFP bullets. Have run 26.5 grains with the 170 grain Sierra and 22 grains with the 255 CPBC WFNGC bullet. If the powder is just slightly compressed there is no unburned powder in the barrel. Which FAs revolver do you have. I am selling my M83 .454 and just bought a 6" M83 in .41 Magnum. Bob...also a .41 fan.... | ||
