I just had one of my 454 Casull Ruger SRH's shortened from a 7.5" barrel to a 4.25" barrel. This gun is going to be used for protection in remote wilderness areas. I have been messing around at home with a laser pointer lately which got me thinking that it would be kind of cool to be able to have a laser on my shortened SRH. Has anyone tried the Crimson Trace laser grips on a heavy recoiling gun like this?

Moki, I had one at 4 3/4" from the factory, with the rosewood grips, in the early 1990's. A beautiful piece. I had mine factory ported, and I advise you to have the porting done, due to fairly heavy muzzle flip with the shortened barrel. This is one of those "I wish I never sold it" guns Enjoy!!! dano36.

Moki, I just realized yours is a SRH. Mine was the factory Casull, but I still recommend the porting. Sorry. dano36

I put some Crinson Laser Trace grips on a 45 ACP and 2 S&W 44 mags [mine and my wifes]. I like them very well. They have tiny allen screws that allows you to sight in the laser at the distance you want. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
