Just found out from my sales rep that Magnum Research almost went out of business but Kahr Arms bought them out at the last minute.
Would have hated to see that!

Kahr Arms bought Magnum Research last year, and from what I understand, they were not in any kind of financial trouble.

I dont know all of the details just what my sales rep told me. I have had an account with them for many years.
I have been selling them for quite a while.
And today I get a call from them trying to see if I needed any at a good discount.

I have always liked thier products and have had good service.
Even my youngest son has one.
With all of the mergers in the last couple of years we will soon only have 2 or 3 gun companies. Not sure if that is food or

So, what kind of discount are we talking about? Wait a minute, that's not that BFR is it?!!!
Peter.

Yes Peter, Magnum Research produces the BFR. Deals seem to always be available on these revolvers and I have found that new BFRs can be had for significantly less than the MSRP. Talk about bang-for-the-buck!

Yeah, but will I be able to hit the primers of shotgun shells laid "end on" at 200 yards with open sights like another BFR shooter on this forum?
Peter.

You might not be able to, but...... dancing Just kidding, Peter!

BFRs, I have found, shoot lights out. They are well put together and they use a really high quality barrel (Badger).

I thought those were small pistol primers... in 22 Hornet cases.

BFR's...perhaps a better value for the $$ spent than the "other" brand?

Just can't leave it alone, can you? I would note that BFR has been sold; the "other" brand you are so willing to trash, has not.

If you like big clunky revolvers, so be it. I for one, do not.

And I will bust yours too, you ignorant so and so. If you knew half of what you profess to know you would give Ross Seyfried, John Taffin and John Linebaugh all a run for their money. Instead you just blow and go. Like a safety valve, all hot air...

Who do you think taught me lots of what I do know? All 3 of them...and more. I read about it and then go do it. Whats wrong with that? Is that not how most people get their experience and knowledge...besides on some forums like this one? Chill out and join the party dude. In reality, you're little different than I.

Woa, slow down guys. No need to brawl. BFR was bought by a bigger company that wanted to produce revolvers as well. FA is having trouble finding a buyer.

If you take the normal framed BFR and put it alongside an FA 83, you will see that there is not much difference in their size. Yes, the BFR is beefier in certain areas to add strength and the cylinder in (thankfully) longer, but they're by no means clunky.

Never had a bit of trouble out of Bob Baker, but that was before the frivolous lawsuits. Couldn't blame the guy if he is just a bit defensive...

Maybe, but Wayne and his wife had dinner at my house about thirteen years ago, and she was "shush-ing" him about airing his political views at the table. I have not had dealings with Bob.

Wayne WAS a character, just (like me and the rest of you over 60)a bit crotchety and set in his ways.
