I hosted two in Byram and cancelled the third due to lack of participation.

I am currently working on putting another together for the month of October, but people are going to HAVE to show up and participate for these to happen.

Photos would help us identify your revolver.

There is a good bit of shooting that goes on, obviously. We have, in the past, set up a table with a vice and John has gone through the participant's revolvers; performing some cleaning up of the sear and basically trigger jobs. We have also gone through the process of fitting a Bisley grip frame to a revolver. I will usually poll those who are participating and let John know the feedback I am receiving.

I have a couple of decent pieces of scrap I can bring. I am sure most there already shoot 480's and 475's and have a few customs that they might want to look at and shoot. Can also bring some various Mihec HP's to try.

Drummond,

Was your dad Gil Lindsey? And if so, is there any chance that gun is a Linebaugh Long/Maximum as opposed to the 1.4" case?

I ask because Gil and I corresponded quite a few years ago about a 500 Long that he owned.

If you'd like, I will see if there's any chance I have those old emails, and if they shed any light on the gun in question.

Hey, Dick, did you and Steve have a good trip home? You guys slipped away before I realized it.

I've had less than 72 hours at home since then, but will load some up as soon as things settle down a little. I plan on hunting with those pretty much exclusively this fall. Thanks again!

We are looking at October 18-20 at the range in Byram, MS. I am just beginning to put all this together and will have more info as we move toward that date.

This has literally taken my breath away! Yes sir, my dad is Gil Lindsey and I do believe it is a Linebaugh Maximum. Dad died on Oct 29, 2006 and there's not a day that goes by that I don't miss him. I promise to get pictures up tomorrow

Drummond,

I believe that gun was built by Kerry O'Day of MG Arms. I haven't found any emails from your Dad yet, but did find a couple that I had sent him that jogged a few memories. I'll dig a little deeper this evening.

I found the emails. It was built by Kerry O'Day, and at the time we were corresponding (early '04), he was talking about having Jack Huntington Roger Hunsicker build a new cylinder for it.

If you'd like, PM me your email address, and I'll send you a copy of our correspondence.

That reminds me of the Dragonfly. Last time I spoke with Kerry they weren't quite ready. I'd love to see a test of one and some offered for sale!
