Hi All,

On surfing on the net I have found smething very cool [Razz]

A kit to transform your 1911 semi auto into a single shot pistol, and fired cartridges like 45-70 out it.

I'd believed it was a joke!!!! [Eek!] But it isn't [Big Grin]

Hello BER007,

That one looks like you have to replace at least a couple frame parts from the description?

Here's another that requires minimal work to the 1911 slide/frame, says it turns a 45 auto into a "44 mag":

I'm also thinking that there was another conversion for the 1911 frame making it a single shot high performance pistol (243/308 Win class), but I can't recall what it was....

Regards, Bill

Twillis,

That may have been it, I just did a search and didn't come up with much on it, though. Was that a single shot "cannon breach" style, or am I getting it confused with the Lone Eagle from IMI?

Looks to be closer to a bolt than anything. Happy Bidding [Big Grin]
P.S. It is not mine, I just stumbled on to it yesterday.
