Yes I also am a member of HHI, in fact I just got my new issue of Sixgunner today, had let my membership expire and just got it renewed..... I sure have missed getting the Sixgunner, only wished it came out more often!

I'm also a member you can't waite to get the magazine then you wish it was double the size so it took you a little longer to read.

I am a member and love it also. I like that it is true hunting stories by real people. JD Jones also is a true expert in the firearm world. Worth every penny

OK here's a dumb question.
Is Handgun Hunting International the chapter of Safari Club International or is it an organization of it's own. I'm from Canada and was wanting to subscribe to a handgun magazine to get information on travel with hanguns and to see If I was the only nut who loved to hunt with handguns. Being from Canada I don't know many other handgun hunters over here, none actually.

mikehjd, Handgun Hunters International is its' own organization. "The Sixgunner" is HHI's publication that is comprised of stories written by members and covers everything from handgun hunting to reloading to reviews. All is done by handgunners. JD Jones of SSK is the Editor/publisher and John Taffin sometimes writes in articles. Not to mention our very own moderator here on this site contributes. I have been lucky to have several articles put in there as well. And I to look forward to the next issue every other month. It is the only firearms publication that I subscribe to anymore...good shooting...RW

No HHI is not part of SCI but is an organization of its own started and run by JD Jones of SSK Industries, just check out the HHI link from SSKs website for membership info. at SSK

In reply to Mike from Canada. I belonged to HHI. from June of 79 to the end of 94 and I still have most of the issues. It was a great paper but I quite because it got to expensive to ship to Canada. I believe it was costing me nearly 60 $ Canadian when I stopped subscribing. I also bought a couplle of barrels from JDJ back in the mid 80's. One being a 12.5 inch 45-70 and the other being 7mm JDJ. no. 2. Both shot great. There is one other person in Canada that would love to be able to hunt legally with a handgun. Dave.
