I think HK is really missing out not making a usp pistol in 10 mm . Its one of the strongest semiautomatic pistols ever made .Federal shot a 40 sw usp 297000 times no problems .I think a 7 inch barrel 10 mm usp pistol would be just right for hunting .If they had match triggers in them I bet they would shoot 1 inch at 50 yards .

I bought a VP 70 new in 1977 + it was stolen. I went to APD + filed a report. Nothing + there will be nothing. If it is recovered it will go home with some cop. Is it just me or is everyone getting tired of being fucked? Never mistake motion for action.

Since they make a .45, they do have the slide and frame length available. Just a matter of magazines, proper barrel, and extractor. That being said, the USP isn’t all that popular, and the 10mm isn’t all that popular either. Europeans don’t typically think of hunting and handguns going together. HK is probably one of the biggest “NIH” companies as well- if they don’t think of it, you don’t need it. You can suggest it to them, but….

crbutler: We think about a lot, but not legal and seen by many "ethical" here. I have 500 S&W revolver and 460 Rowland pistol, but can use only in self defense here (attacking wounded wild boar...). Jiri

I would suspect the the far majority of world handgun sales, except for military contracts. Is the US market. The perfect 10mm auto for me would be a 1911 grip size on a 6 inch Glock.

I have a Glock long slide in 10mm. It carries quite a wallop with full-house loads.

A 40 SW usp pistol was fired by federal ammo company 250,000 times no problems .Try that with a glock they wear out faster than you think !

I would go for a USP in 10mm. Or better yet a MK 23 in 10mm.

If it shoots as good as my other 2 USPs I'd buy one tomorrow. It has to shoot better than my EAA Witness polymer 10mm...I've seen buckshot pattern better than that thing can.

I’ve got one. I’m not that terribly impressed with the .40 hi power. It’s a cast iron bit%# to field strip to clean. It’s much more snappy in recoil than a 1911 (or Glock) in .40 is. They really aren’t all that terribly accurate, at least in .40; the 9mm ones are better. If you want a hi power stay with 9mm, and no way would it take the 10mm cartridge. I understand the .40 was not really very popular in the hi power due to these issues. Don’t get me wrong, the 9mm high power is a good classic gun, but while the .40 fits in it, it’s not a good match.

SIG just introduced its 320 XTEN, but it only comes with a five-inch barrel so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Auq0cY33b6I&t=32s There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I love my Glock 20. Does everything a 10mm should do. And does it sixteen times in a row without reloading! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
