My favorite is the SBH style dragoon grip. Others swear by the Bisley. The Bisley is okay but I like the square back dragoon style better. I wish Ruger made a 45 with the SBH Dragoon style grip. Never experienced a problem with the square back triggerguard, but I have with the round bisley and other blackhawk triggerguards. I have a set of custom Lett fancy walnut grips on my SBH that have great checkering, just enough thickness everywhere, and proper swell in the palm. Perfect fit to my hand. My hands are probably the same as yours. I wear medium gloves, too. Never been a fan of the oversized plastic grips. I like the factory style when done right, which for me is slightly rounder overall and fatter at the bottm, slim at the start of the bend, then thickening again after the curve. even at 1100fps you may find that the super frame can beat up your middle nuckle pretty good. You might want to at least have the gunsmith round off the squared part of the trigger guard and possibly haveing a set made by Scott Kolar and have him take the bottom of the grips and thin them down some. Using the super grip frame you may want to consider Chambering it in .50 special or 480. I go along with the extreem hate for the plastic grips. I had a magnum research .480 for a while and it had those crappy grips on it and I didnt care for them with high end loads at all. | |||
