After firing 500 plus rounds of jacketed factory ammo and 200 plus rounds of lead in my new Taurus Tracker 45 ACP. I started working up hunting loads using RAMSHOT ENFORCER. I intend to shoot a doe this fall and wanted a load that would do the job. Gun: Taurus Tracker Cartridge: 45 ACP - 5 shot cylinder Barrel length - 6.5" Powder - Ramshot Enforcer Charge - 15.7 grains Velocity - 1,175 fps Primer- Winchester Large Pistol Case - Winchester Bullet - Hornady 200 gr. XTP O.A.L. - 1.250 According to the latest manual from the folks at Western Powder Company I can go up to 16.2 grains of Enforcer. They achieved a pressure of 19,000 psi. I asked them about +P loads for the 45 ACP which are rated upto 23,000 psi. Carelfully I plan to work up to 17.0 grains in the hopes of achieving 1,200 fps. I will let you know of my results later.

You should be fine from a pressure perspective...the 45 ACP case will go to the same pressure levels as the 45 Long Colt. This is 30,000 CUP in a Blackhawk with chamber walls about .075" thick. The Tracker should be close. For the record, I had better luck with Longshot than Enforcer in the 45 ACP in my 4 and 5/8ths inch Blackhawk. About 11 grains of Longshot gives 1250 fps with the hornady 230 XTP with no signs of excess pressure. For the power, this has a remarkably low recoil.
