Hey guys been to 3 stores today but the only hunting ammo I could find in 44 mag for my revolver was 225 grain Leverevelution. Does anyone have any experience with this cartridge on deer sized game? My shots will be within 50 yards on Whitetails so I expect that they will work fine but want to check with the experts :-)

Luke I shot a pretty good sized pig with my 44 Mag Winchester Trapper, at about 40 yards, with the Hornady Leverevolution ammo. It looked like he was slammed backwards and he went right down, kicked a time or two and that was it. I recovered the bullet and it had expanded great, with some core jacket seperation with some of the core exiting the pig. He was quarterint toward me. I would not hesitate to use it in a revolver for deer sized game, or broadside shots on pigs. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
