JacobiteTracker woes solved
Well today the Tracker was flawless. I loaded 210 grain cast swc over 12.5 grains of Blue Dot. No locking up and the gun was clean. Yes there was leading but I expected that.
Now I am happy. I really like the Tracker and hoped the locking up was from the dirty loads. Now a question as to what bullets to try. Hornaday xtps shoot well but are costly. The lead swc shoot o.k. also and are cheap. Whats best for hunting?

twillisHi Don,
FYI, Midway has XTPs on sale for $11.??. There is also a post in the classifed forum. Someone has three boxes at $8.00 per box. Either the Hornady or the cast will work well for hunting. I am trying a 230gr Keith type cast from Drycreek Bullet Works. It looks very promising (bullet quality is excellent). One drawback is the Tracker cylinder is a little short so the bullets are .030 too long when crimped in the crimping groove. I am going to shorten a selection of my cases to accommodate the bullets. They should be one of the best hunting bullets around.

Sean VHA #60013Does anyone know if Federal's 250grn Cast Core load will fit into the short Tracker cylinder? This would really effect several of the folks around here who are thinking of a Tracker purchase, but who are holding out a bit as not much is known about them.
