I just replaced my 8" Anaconda 44mag that got ripped off out of my gun safe last Thanksgiving.

I'm thinking of adding a scope this time around so was enquiring what is the best mount for the Anaconda. I'm wanting too keep my iron sights. I've seen mounts that fastens too the vent rib holes. Unless that type is a problem, that's probably what I want.

So what brand of mount am I looking for?

Burris makes them; or did. My Anaconda Hunter came from the factory with this mount and a Leupold scope.

I have the 6 Inch version of the anaconda, and have used the vent rib mount (i think it was from b square - but it has been a while). With the early version (with single cross bar) i had the recoil tear through the mount. I sent it back and the replacement has two recoil bars for the vents. This mount has functioned flawlessly for 6 years with a 2-6 x scope. I just pulled the scope and put it on my freedom 454 so the colt is back to irons.
