I hope this hasn't been posted before but I just learned that Kimber in now accepting orders for their Model 1911 auto pistol chambered for the new .17 caliber.



Suggested price is $775

pretty neat. I wonder how much the coversion will be?

I assume this is the new 17hm2 and not the 17 HMR or HRM (magnum).

the 22lr conversion is only $275.

Kev - I don't recall if it stated magazine capacity but a call to Kimber would get the answer I'm sure if you are interested.

I'm going to guess it will have the usual 7 rounds although the .17 is a rimmed case and that can require a little VooDoo on the clip design so the rims don't overlap.
