I've been talking to people about SBR's and found a few videos of people shooting AK and AR platform pistols single handed. I always thought that this was a 2 handed operation...but it seems the sig brace and similar have made it where you can shoot without holding the front of the pistol. Does anyone on here shoot these for target practice or hunting? I noticed 7.5" and 10-11" configurations for the AR uppers...I bet the 7.5 puts out a decent muzzle blast. Maybe a suppressed 10.5" upper in .300 blackout would be entertaining (until the next gun comes along...) "Let me start off with two words: Made in America"

I built a 8.5" .300blk AR variant two years ago. Used a cheapish Palmetto State Armory upper. My original intent was to make an SBR but after shooting the silly thing I'm keeping as a pistol. Inchish groups from a rest at 50 yards using 125gr SST bullets loaded to supersonic level and a Burris RDS. Easy hits on an 8" steel plate at 100 yards sitting or kneeling. I do hold it by the fore end and grip. I may eventually try deer hunting with the little gun.

Sounds like it has good accuracy! I'll look into the Palmetto State uppers. What brace do you have if any? "Let me start off with two words: Made in America"

PSA makes decent starter level stuff. I also bought two stripped scratch n dent lowers from them that were a great deal. I wasn't impressed with their customer support the one time I contacted them. I'm not using a brace, just a bare tube receiver extension.
