Does anybody else here shoot a Ruger Single Six 32 H&R mag.I have two of the older ones with adjustible sites.I shoot the heck out of them.I shot my first cast bullets 115 gr loaded with Winchester 296 behind them.I use small rifle primers for total powder burning.these are wicked little pistols loaded hot.The guy beside me today thought it was little 357 mag.It is accurate as heck.I also shoot 100 and 85 gr Hornady xtp bullets loaded to the max with it.Does any body else shoot a 32 H&R mag.?

I shoot one. Good thing recoil is not enough to detonate one or two addtional rounds as the rifle primers are 0.005" longer than pistol primers and tend to go off if slammed against the frame of the revolver hard enough, or do you cut the primer pockets to handle the difference. If you go to John Taffin's sixguns.com, you may find his write-up on the .32 mag and some of the loads he tested. I enjoy shooting mine, but if loaded hot they are rough on the ears.

I didnt know that about small rifle primers being longer. The small pistol primers wont handle these loads.I guess I will make primer pockets a little deeper.I shot those 115 gr cast loads and they hit way higher tham my 100 gr hornady xpt loads.I got those loads from that John Taffin article.I just had not shoot the 115 gr cast bullets yet. They are pretty accurate but I will have to drop them half a grain the primers were flatting a little.I dont want to blow up my little pistol or have all six go off at once.
