S&W .460 / Warner scope base problem

Well from an earlier thread I decided to put a Aimpoint 900sc 2x 2moa scope on the S&W .460. I got all the parts and assembled them on the S&W and noticed the base wasn't aligning to the original front sight of the the pistol. The base was going toward the right of the top of the barrel.

I then disassembled the parts to inspect for a reason for this misalignment and found the threaded holes on top of the receiver were in alignment but drilled at a slant from center at the rear hole to right of center for the furthest hole.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Was there anything you did to correct it?

I haven't shot it at longer yardage's as yet but I expect to see the bullet impact point to move further and further to the left the longer out the shot making the red dot scope useless.

I bought this gun previously owned but unfired and he had sent the warranty card in. Am I just SOL?

I'd be willing to bet a phone call to S&W would solve the problem. Cock-eyed holes like that would not only affect alignment but probably mount strength also because the screws wouldn't be pulling straight down. Since the gun comes drilled and tapped from the factory it's their foul up and I'm sure they'll tell you to send it in.
