Wow ! I'd seen the first photo but now with the sequence it's fantastic !
Why did they put down the bison ? Should have just let nature take it's course.

The bison was badly wounded from the hot springs, as I understand it.

I just dont get the title of this post. If I had this comming at me, I would have head shot the bison....it would have dropped. The bear would have jumped the bison, giving me another head shot on the bear. With both dead, I would have still had four rounds left to go squirrel hunting. Big Grin

Problem is that in most cases (obviously not in your case, flat top!), the skill and the intent don't mesh.....

Just where in the above sequence of events do you shit in your pants?

Peter; You must be trying to equate how you would feel, to how I would feel....but, I cannot relate to that feeling or the physical discomfort that would follow. Fear and faith cannot exist on the same plane...or in the same space. You are either full of fear and have no faith, or, you are full of faith and have no fear....I am full of faith.

Peter, what's to be afraid off? After all a firearms gives one a great advantage. No need to have fear, just a steady aim beer

Nature should have taken it's course and the bear should have eaten the buf that was really in bad shape.
Shooting the buf for the bear would be good but not in the road! I would not shoot the bear.
