LOL! He doesn't wear pants......the only solution! srs -- I hear ya! I have an 8-lb. .450 Ackley......and I am always strapped with a big handgun when hunting with a rifle! Seriously, nice pics! Thats a mean lookin' mutha effer! The hardest kicking handgun I've shot is my 4" S&W 500 with some HOT 700 gr. loads.....tolerable up to 20 rounds and then comes the flinching! I'm a 250+ pound boxer/mma fighter (daytime machinist) who benches over 400 and that BFR scares the hell out of me! I want one! A cylinder full of those would be like a round or two with a prime Mike Tyson! Please inform your loved ones to take the gun away from you after your speech begins to slurr!!! Remember...if you begin to see three targets, shoot the one in the middle!

Whitworth.....an 8 pound .450 Ackley is borderline extreme itself! Most people won't shoot a .458 Lott or .450 Ackley more than once out of an 11 pound rifle. I'll bet that's a sweet rig to carry though....lighter than half the deer rifles out there. My .458 Lott is 10 pounds with a scope. My .500 A2 will weigh about 10.5 without scope, sling, and ammo....maybe 12 pounds when fully loaded. I think ALL rifles should be backed with a good handgun, whether it's a .22 for squirrels & snakes or a .44 mag - .500killemall for the big & nasty critters (with 2 legs or 4!) A big revolver ain't extra weight(like some say) when your rifle jams/misfires and the ph is picking his nose!

Yeah, you could say the Ackley is a bit on the light side.... My SRH in .475 with full-boogie loads ain't a walk in the park either! I was professional pugilist back in the day, but I could never bench anywhere near 400-lbs! Yikes! "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." Whitworth, that's cool! We'll have something to talk about if the gun talk gets old....LIKE THAT'S GONNA HAPPEN! I hope to have my first pro boxing fight this fall. I've been an amature boxer for a long time though. I started off as a light heavyweight but I fight the big boys now. Since I got married, I'll probably stay one too! I started lifting heavy when I got interested in grappling/mma to increase my strength on the mat and my bodyweight went up too. It helps when fighting bigger boxers too. I hit the powerlifts pretty hard(bench press, deadlifts, & squats). Thanks for the compliment, bro. Sorry guys, didn't mean to change the conversation on ya!

It's fun, but it's been about 10 years since my last fight, but I still stay in shape -- I run about 5 times a week and I do a workout a few times a week as well. It's real easy to hurt yourself when you've damaged all of your joints over the years from hyper-extending the elbows, blown out knees, etc., so I don't over-do it if I can help it. I started out a middle weight and went up to light heavy. Don't do it too long as it prematurely breaks your body down, and I'm not convinced that blows to the head are all that good for you. 400-lbs is a LOT of weight! Sorry for the thread hi-jack, gentlemen! But, I do like my guns!! The "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Thanks Whitworth but 400+ ain't as heavy when you're about 260 pounds yourself. I need to lose down to about 235-240 but my wife likes to cook and I love to eat. I know all about the knees/elbows. I won't do it but maybe 5-6 more years tops. I recently enrolled in a gunsmithing course (Modern Gun School). I already have degrees in Machine Tool Technology, CNC Mill & Lathe(actually took 3.5 years off from boxing to get them) and 10+ years on the job in various machine/tool&die shops. I hope to tie it all in together one day and work for myself. Hopefully Boxing will put some startup money behind my ideas. I hope to build firearms like some of the fine examples I've seen here! SAFARIKID has some of the most creative firearms I've ever seen!
