It was really a long list of problems, not the least of which the revolver just would not function properly. I wound up sending it to the factory several times. Finally sent it to Mag-Na-Port and they were able to do it some good. However, by that time, I no longer trusted the revolver to function when I needed it to do so. I was getting ready to go to Africa and just did not trust the firearm. I did function and shoot well enough that I was able to sell the revolver in good conscience to someone who wanted it to shoot paper and whitetail deer.

Took a bath on what I had invested in the SRH, bought a Freedom Arms and have been happy ever since. I really like my Ruger single actions, but have no use for their double action revolvers.

Oh come on Lloyd. You know those .454s are real good for placing "character" marks on John Killebrew's forehead. I've actually found the 335 Cast Performance bullets to penetrate fairly well going 1400+ fps. You're probably thinking of the way Kelly Brost loads them, causing the bullet to melt before it reaches the end of the barrel. Have a good evening.
