If'n you're from Cajun Country, you'd probably not like the hunting conditions up there. That particular day, the temperature at breakfast was right at -20 degrees Farenheit.

When I shot the hog, it had warmed up to a balmy -2.

You'd be a danielsicle! Eeker

this cold front has dropped us into the fifties, and tonight, the forties and my wife is freezing her butt off. I agree that -20 is not my idea of good hunting weather.

It'd definitely be my Ruger OM Blackhawk in .41Magnum. It's kept a couple large beasties off my carcass. I've had it since the '60s and the thing will probably be buried with me. If cremated, a good friend will get it.

My absolute favorite is my K22 Masterpiece with Herret stocks. Had it for over 40 yrs now. Great shooter.

#2 is my SBH Hunter in 44Mag with a Leupold 4x. Finally found a set of Uncle Mikes grips for it and it may move up to #1 now.

My current favorite is a S&W 629-4 Hunter in .44 Mag. I'm shooting a 300 grain WFNGC Cast Performance bullet over 21 grains of 296. Smiler

Though I have only owned this one for a couple of years and for 20 of those 24 months we lived in different countries the 700 or so rounds I have sent down range with it have clearly put it in the top three at least. It is just darn easy to hit with using my moderate loads.

This 45 Colt conversion on a 357 OM Blackhawk is rather basic but holds/feels better than any SA I own and shoots quite well too. It has all of the aluminum possible to keep it light.

My favorite hunting handgun is a
TC Contender 357 Maximum 10" barrel, I've taken a few deer with it.

My favorite handgun overall might be my Beretta Model 84 or my S&W Model 624.
