Just dug this out of the safe....haven't looked at it in years. Still have all the original box, literature, and all that came with it. Nicest 1911 I've ever owned.

Bill, I just recently heard of Tisas. Sounds like a great alternative to the pony guns.

Lovely gun! I have a Springfield Pro (45 ACP) and a Springfield V16 LongSlide (45 ACP or 45 Super). Love them both.

Regards,

Chuck

Bill, I have never heard of Tisas; are they just another new 1911 clone? I keep my Les Baer in the safe + carry the Kimber, as I know that if I had to use it, I would lose it, most likely. The Kimber's loss wouldn't bother me as much, except for the sambar stag grips.

Randy, they are imported by SDI from Turkey. Those Turks sure have learned how to produce a well-CNC-machined firearm at a very attractive price.
American Rifleman did a very favorable Dope Bag review on them a year or two ago.
Ray Atkinson just bought a Tanker model. See the Personal Protection/Concealed Carry forum.

Own three 1911 .45 Tisas's. The basic GI model, mid range model, and the Match.
Nothing can touch them as far as value for your money.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
