I had an interest in a 3.5-inch round butt Freedom Arms Model 97 45 Colt until I was informed that to routinely clean the revolver, the ejector rod and its housing need be removed to allow the cylinder to be removed. And that was that.

Recently, I was informed that either currently made ultra short FA 97s' ejectors and housings are configured to allow standard cylinder removal, OR there is an after-market ejector rod and rod housing assembly that achieves this goal.

Anyone who knows whether this is accurate information, whether it works as intended (if after-market), from where it can be obtained, and price, please let me know.

That is correct. No aftermarket parts needed.
