I had an interest in a 3.5-inch round butt Freedom Arms Model 97 45 Colt until I was informed that to routinely clean the revolver, the ejector rod and its housing need be removed to allow the cylinder to be removed. And that was that. Recently, I was informed that either currently made ultra short FA 97s' ejectors and housings are configured to allow standard cylinder removal, OR there is an after-market ejector rod and rod housing assembly that achieves this goal. Anyone who knows whether this is accurate information, whether it works as intended (if after-market), from where it can be obtained, and price, please let me know. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson

That is correct. No aftermarket parts needed.
