My favorite is a T/C Contender with an SSK 14" .309JDJ barrel. With this barrel, I have taken many animals ranging from 50lbs. to 400lbs., everything from white-tail does to scimitar-horned oryx, addax, and barasingha.
The 165gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip at 2350fps does a great job. I have made shots as long as 260yds. with this handgun more than once.

For close-up hunting, I have used a Ruger Redhawk .44mag, but I have a Ruger Bisley .45 Colt that will replace it (bigger bullets )

Mine is my new Superblackhawk. I haven't killed anything but plate steel and paper so far, but after 300 rounds- anything out to 100 yards is in serious trouble!

Thompson Encore in what ever barrel suits the game and a Super Redhawk in .44 Mag for up close and personal. Took a 3 point blacktail with it this year. Can't wait to have a go at the 480 Ruger in SRH though. Slim

I have several that would rate up with "favorits" but my old tc chambered in 7mm/tcu seems to just grow out of my arm. I will take anything up to and including deer with this.

I think I like my scoped 14 inch T/C Contender in .41GNR#2 best but the custom SBH in .41GNR is a close second. I really like shooting these calibers. The guns are so different but they both do wonderful things with .41 caliber bullets.
Deer (21 for the family this season), three BIG pigs and one 1800lbs crazy mean steer.

My favorite hand gun anything using 44mg. if you are talking about true handgun rounds. But I am really fond of 35 rem. 7x30 waters in my T/C contender. DENMITCH
