I have a S&W 45 cal. target model of 1950 (25-2) that I need a taller front sight blade for. I tried ordering a .500" blank from Bowen Classic Arms but they are on backorder. Anyone know where to go? This is the pinned style blade. Brownells dosen't have anything. Thanks

Isn't that a 1/8" thick sight ? If so then 1/8" thick of something like 1/8" precision ground tool steel [ O-1 type would work.] harden it if you like after cutting it to size .Any gunsmith or machinist would have some .

John Gallagher in Jasper AL, Dave Clements in VA are two that come to mind.

I needed a taller front sight for my 629 Classic Hunter so I called S&W. They sent me one at no charger
