| I have the Stainless 6.5" 454 Raging Bull. It is very accurate and comfortable to shoot. The muzzlebrake makes it very loud, but isn't bee too bad for only a couple of shots while hunting. I have the targets shot on my web page. http://members.fortunecity.com/howda/mm454.htmlI have had the best luck with hard cast bullets in the 340gn range around 1350fps. |

| I also have a 6.5 inch stainless. My load is also a 340 at 1350.
The action is very smooth with a nice trigger pull. |

| Personally I prefer the Ruger 454. I don't have large hands and found the Rager Bull to be a long reach to the trigger. |

| My buddy has one; it's a good shooter. Fit and finish are very good, balance is nice, trigger good. Only one issue to be aware of: I could not load to the same performance levels in it as I can in my Freedom Arms. Not a real big deal, but the performance is a consistent 15% less in his Tauraus. The tauraus cylinder is not as rigid as the Freedom Arms, so the cases will stick long before FA pressures are reached. If you have whatr you would consider an FA max load, don't interchange them. |

| What about the 480 in the Raging Bull?I should have included this caliber with my first post.Does the 480 have anything over the 454?Which caliber would be better for a Back-Up in factory loadings? |
