How many of you guys have tried Buffalo Bore ammo? Is it worth the money? They seem to be growing, so somebody has to be buying it.

It's pretty good ammo, but since I load my own and I'm cheap, it's too damn expensive! ------------------

BBA is worth the money. Together with Starline Brass, they've undated the 45-70 brass to safe standards, for usage in tubular magazines, when shooting very stout loads. This brass has a deeper primer pocket then normal (firing pin protusions are more then adaquate in leverguns- well within specs.), to keep any bullet meplats from smacking the primer of the round in front, as well as using slam fire resistant primers (simular to full-auto primers, if not the same ones). Starline and BBA have created the safest factory loads available in history of the 45-70, with brass available to handloaders. Garrett's Ammo is also using this brass, or so says it's owner about a year ago. ~~~Suluuq

Sean I use it in my 45 LC BH and 454 SRH, excellant round even though I as well do mostly handloads its a good round -definately a potent round. Can be used for anything that walks on four legs. I bought a box of 325gr PB 45 LC for a starter round to get me use to the 454 SRH. Brass is excellant for heavy reloads. ------------------

I just ran their 305 hard cast 44 mag ammo through my chrony. From my 7.5" super redhawk I got a 10 shot average of 1420 fps. Almost 100 fps better than their 1325 listed velocity. You just feel the power of these rounds. 25 yard accuracy was under an inch from the sand bags. All in all, very impressed with their performance but their pricy. Also check out Garrett ammunition (they have a good web site) especially if you own a SRH as they tailor rounds especially for this gun. Good luck.
