I obtained this Freedom Leather thumb break holster with my .475. It is for a six-inch barrelled Model 83. Thumb break is without metal reinforcing strip. Muzzle is plugged rather than open. Leather is very heavy and unlined. Interior leather is rough rather than smooth coined finish.

Since I do not see the holster on Freedom's web site, I assume it is discontinued. When was it made? Dunno.

I queried Freedom Arms but received no response. It is a right-handed holster. I would be interested in a left-handed one.

Any additional information and background on this holster would be appreciated.

At one point in time, I believe Von Ringler was making holsters for FA, and may yet still be doing so. Von is located in the Cody, WY area. He may be able to give you some insight on the holster and would certainly be able to make what you wanted.
