NH Hunter, I shot silhouette for years with my .44 and won many shoots including the Ohio State. I found standard primers more accurate in every case with 296 and H110. Everyone says they find magnum primers better but do not define the accuracy they talk about. Of course they shoot ok, but for extreme accuracy, standard Fed's work better. I am talking about groups of 1/2" or less at 50 yds and the ability to hit every shot out as far as 400 meters. ( I run out of sight clicks any farther) You have to test each in your gun to make the decision of which is better for you. I can only pass on what I found with better then 200,000 rounds from many .44's. The only case I use mag primers in is the .357 and .357 max. I do not notice a problem with the smaller diameter bullets or small mag primers. What can I say? Do your own testing!

Actually the bisley hunters are available I've seen them in the gun shops and the hunters have two big advantages over a std SBH; one being the ability to accept a scope easily and the other is that the sights can be changed out. They also have a little more barrel weight if you like that sort of thing - I know I do.
