Soon #1 brought it back to me last weekend. Said that it is too much for him to shoot around the house, and he is going to be a bow hunter only from here on out. I have lots of catching up to do.

crawfish, you may not get a lot of reply's to your post. For some reason there are not many fans of Gary Reeder's work here. Some have never even handled them, but make judgment on hear say.

I am a big Reeder fan. I have several of his creations, and they look and work great.

I like Gary's work. The .41GNR#1 was the first .41 caliber he made for me. It is a 14 inch Contender. He also made a .41RemMag/.41GNR duel cylinder 5 shooter SBH. That one lives in CO now. There is a picture of it on his special guns page . Think it is the last on the bottom but it was the first he posted there. He named that gun The Green Machine.

I also have many of his encore barrels and frames, and quite a few of his custom revolvers...right up to a 500 Linebaugh Alaskan Hunter.

I have 2 of Garys customs. I think his work is very good and will have him do 1 more for me. I have a 455 GNR Alaska Express and a 410 GNR American Hunter both in 5 shot revolvers built from 45 colt Bisleys.

SO far I,m real happy with it. The case's are easy to make and it shoots 300,335 cast real well. I would have it built again, I had it and the new 410 GNR done because I had 3 45 colts and wanted to get something different.I kept my ruger bisley hunter in 45 colt. Garys guns are truly fine examples of good workmanship.

Thanks hoeram, as soon as pay day comes a new mini beast will be ordered in 455 GNR for hogs, mountain lions and fun. I have a 5.5" stainless Bisley in 45 colt that eventually will get Gary's attention (probably a 475 linebaugh).
I have an 8mm GNR barrel that I love for the Encore, Gary's customer service is awesome and he has my business as a result.

Bulbwerks, Keep us posted onthe 455 GNR. I have been interested in that caliber for a while. Gary builds nice guns, just don't go on his forum unless you are into "The sky is falling, Obama is going to take your guns, ect" foolishness from the assorted wingnuts he has posting there. It used to be a good forum until the nuts took over. Confused

You have that on every gun site, not just on his site. Roll Eyes

I believe that Obama wants our guns, and I don't consider myself a wingnut, I take offence to the reference from a fellow gun owner as a matter of fact.

I agree, BUT on this site, for example, the nuts pretty much keep to the Political Forum, not everywhere else. I used to frequent his site every day for 3 years+ until just before the Nov. elections when 3 or 4 real loons came in and ruined what was once a good forum to talk guns and handgun hunting.

I still go there every day and post now and then, but stay clear of any political engagements. I have better stuff to talk about or read about than that stuff. Politics and religion are best kept in their respective places, and that isn't on a gun forum. I like talking gunsand hunting on a gun forum, plain and simple.

Head over to the crater if you want lunacy. I don't mind the wingnuts nearly as much as the ultra-libs that have found there way on a shooting/hunting site who feel they have to share their distorted world view with us.......

I think it was BBBruce that came over here to post about Obummer before the election. Hitman took care of that......

If you have some load data for your 410 GNR would you be willing to share some with me. I have no data for mine and I'm looking for a few starting loads to get it up and running. I'm looking for data on 250/265 LFNGC & WFNGC if you can help. Thanks up front.

I will go out to my reloading room in the morning, and get the load data sheet I got and post with the data lists.

I got the data sheet from Gary Reeder, it came with the loading dies.

But here is all the data fronm the sheet I have for the 410 GNR.
All the bullets listed are 250 and 255 gr. Lead bullets only. But this data can be used for both bullets.

28.0 gr. W296 Win SP Mag primers Starting load
28.5 gr. W296 Win SP Mag primers
29.0 gr. W296 Win SP Mag primers
29.5 gr. W296 Win SP Mag primers Max load.

I have data for 170 and 210 and 240 gr. if you want that also. I got this data from other 410 GNR shooters.
