Anyone actually use Wilson Combat flat wire recoil springs in 1911?

Thinking on purchasing a 24 pound spring for my 10mm and a 20 plus p spring for one of my 45 acps.

If memory serves I am using a Wilson in the 18-20 lb. range. I use it in my 1911 in 45 ACP with a 230 G. cast @ 870 MV. That works for me. Depending on your bullet weight + pressures you will have to try it + see. You can always alter your load.

Never mistake motion for action.

They came today. I look forward to getting some shooting in. I can’t complain I got to go turkey hunting. I know others did not.

Personally,I would not use a flat wire recoil spring in any platform.

Best option w/o the need/use of a buffer
