I had barrel that had a 6.5mm 30/30 based wildcat that was very close to the 6.5 JDJ, in fact I used 6.5 JDJ data, just loaded a few grains shy. I shot several 100 of the 120 bt's, and they were very accurate, 3 shots would go 1/2" on the outside of the group. The 6.5 JDJ earned its reputation with the 120 gr bullet, both the speer and balistic tip. I used Reloader 15, Varget, VV N550 and H 4350. All worked well, pushing the 120's 2300-2400 from the 14" barrel. H 4350 was a standout in terms of accuracy. I've read JD's data, and he paralleled that comment on the 6.5 JDJ. ive got the 257 jdj and i use 120 gr bthp gamekings and 35 gr of imr 4350.ssk has reloading data for all there calibers. jason | ||
