You said two things I really agree with. One, was that it takes no more effort to shoot a .44 than a .357. If anything I think it actually takes even less..the .44 recoil I find less annoying. Second, about not hearing or feeling the gun when actually shooting at something edible...the only way I even notice recoil at all is the temporary inconvenience of not being able to see the target because of the barrel being up and in the way.. Btw..completely totally O/T question for Whitworth...I know who "Teddy" was and your assessment sums it up real good, but who was/is "BBB"?? My curiousity finally got the better...

LOL! Fortunately, a couple of months ago, BBBruce was booted off the site for bad behavior. I do believe he is back under a different handle now, but he keeps a much loser profile (if it is indeed him). "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." Ah, so now I know. And regarding the character known as "Teddy" my feelings were formed long ago, like clear back to 1963. You see, I was just a high school kid who only had one course I really did well at...Army ROTC (you can maybe guess who the capt of the rifle team was). Anyway I'd never heard of him at all until one fine day I read where there's this junior something pol from Mass. who has proposed a law abolishing ROTC in schools. You could say he started right off pushing all the wrong buttons with me. Since then there were countless other examples. So the sentiment you expressed rings a bell. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
