Are there any other options out there for a softer more shooter friendly grips, for the BFR?

I can't seem to find any other than the standard BFR issue rubber or the wood grips.Something more like the Raging Bull would be nice or a softer/thicker, rubber.

I have a set from Hogue rubber grips I will sell you, I don't use them, I prefer a smooth non-rubber grip. PM me if you are interested. If not look a Hough grips for the Ruger Super Blackhawk.

Mine is of very recent production, firearms-wise. I took off the OEM (pachmyer?) and put on Hogue monogrip (for SBH w/finger grooves). Took some fitting w/dremel tool tho, otherwise, it'll come up short on the frame. - - - and then, I seen/felt what JRH could do w/making it an extended grip frame w/black micarta panels on another BFR in the shop ~ just had to have him do the same on mine. Now, I'll be trying that out next week or 2. Good chance that rubber won't be needed. There's always gell-padded shooting gloves?

I am surprised there are not other options with the BFR in many Big Bore kicking calibers. The ones that came on it have a full framed rubber grip but it could use more padding or softer rubber in the rear section where it contacts the web of your hand.Atleast the way I hold it,it comes back without the jump into the web portion of my hand.

I see little difference in recoil from a Garretts +P Hammerhead at just under 1600 fps(7.5" barrel) to the 1400 fps loads I worked up just for the BFR.The recoil is not bad at all but shooting a bunch of them might take a toll on my hand. Big Grin..Can't afford to shoot to many these days anyway!!!!

What caliber do you have? My 500 mag is not bad at all with the black Micarta Grips on it. Just wear a good set of shooting gloves.
