Hello everybody, I have been offered a Springfield XD to a pretty reasonalbe prize (for Denmark, where you can basically ad a 0 at the end of handgun prices). Does anyone have any experience with this pistol. I have to answer the seller fast and i can not physically see the gun before the offer expires. Tahnks in advance for any useful comments.

Great guns. Buy it! The 40 S&W is a great caliber, if you can get ammo in Denmark.

Replaced My 1911 with a XD 45, I like it much better. Trigger is very nice. Does not like Semi-Wadcutters. Has to do with the way the barrel drops down as it unlocks. Feeds everything else flawlessly. Sight alignment is very easy and natural with this pistol. I shoot Mostly 180 gr Lyman Devastator HP. They fall from the mold at 202 grains. Shoot into an 1 3/4 group at 20 yards.

According to a number of knowledgeable folks XD is very well made and reliable pistol. I once tried one 9 mm (don't know model) and was pleasantly surprised how well I can shoot it, despite my preference for revolvers and their much better, no slack triggers. However, be aware that same ball military ammo might have hard primers and striker type pistol might miss fire.
