I will check, as I have quite a few bases, but not sure about magnums. Stay tuned.

Ray, the Redfield base you need is number 511114, it will be stamped 70-AM, but you probably know all that. It appears that the dovetail on the pre war base could be milled off and it would then fit a post war receiver?? In my clutter I did find a set of Talley Lights(Low) for H&H spacing.

Ray,
I've got an extra. It was on one of my mid-50s 300 H&Hs. Relatively clean but one of the side hold down bolts is a replacement newer kind that does not have a screw slot. Suspect you can replace that easily enough. It's stamped 70 A MAG but is identical to two others I have that are stamped 70 AM. $40 shipped. If interested pls PM address and I may can get it in the mail tonight...

Good hunting

Ray,

I haven't heard yes, no or maybe regarding my offer. Likewise regarding your earlier request 2-3 weeks ago where I offered to give you a correct base without mounting screws and side bolts, or sell to you for $50 an unused complete 51114 mount still in the box that I bought from Randy Shuman about 40 years ago. I'm certainly no expert but I do have and use a variety of Pre64s including the H&H magnums. I assume you are considering better options, so my offers are off the table and I am out of the equation.

Good luck on your project,

Ray, Glad that you are doing better, and that you were able to get the correct base.

Now if you need another pre-war base, I've got one of those too. I used it many years ago while looking for the right version. I shimmed under the front with a piece of coke can and it seemed to work fine ;>Wink

Good hunting,
