I have new and once fired 30-40 Krag Winchester brass and 38-55 once fired.I'm trying to figure an honest price. Old prices for new brass are not relevant. I can't find any new or once fired available on the internet?

As a bench mark for the .38-55, when they have it, Starline sells it new for $150 for 250 pieces.

30-40 is harder to quantify, but there was some new made brass available in the last year. I think it was Graf's and Sons. They list it, also out of stock for $57/50 for Hornady $38/50 for Winchester. I believe it was the Hornady they were selling last year.

I'm seeing new and used on Gunbroker right now. It looks to be $1 to $1.50 / piece for new. I could use some new 30-40 brass.

That's unbelievable; who would have ever thought that 30-40 brass would bring so much? I'll just keep what I have. Boy oh boy, the price of everything has gone out of sight. Another 4 more years of this and I won't even be able to pay attention.

.30-40 brass has been ''up there'' for a long time.

I have to find my 30/40 brass. I bought a 30/40 Krag in a Ruger No. 3 about 5 years ago and I know that I bought dies and brass for it also.

Of course, I moved to Kentucky in 2022 so who knows where it is now.

Well, I don't know what once fired is going for...

But after buying a Krag 3 years ago, I finally found some Remington new production 30-40 ammo.

$60/box.

Yes I brought some.

The Krag is a shooter... although its military sights are not very compatible with my middle aged eyes.. I was shooting about 3-4" groups off a rest with it.

So that's what the new ammo is going for up here... and its already out of stock.

SG Ammo has Remington 30-40 Krag ammo in stock. I've purchased from them numerous times on 22lr, 7mm-08 and 44 mag. They are good to go.
