Last year, I picked up a Docter VZF 3-12x56 with 4LK reticle off ebay and have used it to take a nice buck and also a moonlight hog. This scope has a 30mm tube and is FFP. It pre-dates the Classic/Basic/Unipoint lines and has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in Europe among those who pursue wild boar at night.

But I’m selling the barrel that it’s currently on, so it’s now an extra. I bought it used; it came with handling marks and some mild scuffs from rings. On the objective bell, there’s a notable ding along the edge (see photo). There's also a nick on the illumination knob (see photo). But none of that affects performance, and the lenses are in very good condition.

I’m including a photo of the reticle. Pardon the low quality phone picture, but if you look at the edges of the frame, you can see how poor the ambient lighting was and how nice the view through the scope is compared to that. If you need a good, reliable low-light performer that doesn’t break the bank, this is your scope. The illumination is wonderfully done by Docter, and the simple, bold hunting reticle stands out well enough that you rarely would ever need illumination. It’s definitely a great hunting scope.
