I thought maybe I'd build another mauser sporter, but at this point I have too many other projects ahead of this.
I have a military Mauser 98 action that was an older sporterization.
Takes a large ring barrel (1.1 X 12 tpi)
Bolt handle and safety were modified to clear scope
No trigger
It has been drilled and tapped for mounts
Crest has been polished off and it has been nicely blued.
It came off a sporter chambered in .270 that I took apart a while back. (standard boltface)
I don't know for certain the origin of this action, but will provide pics of the markings that I found.

$250 shipped

There are lots of pinholes where the bolt handle was welded one. I would grind them out and reweld it.

Just a thought, It may sell easier.
