Here is a beautifully made knife by bladesmith Joshua Clarke. This is his Clip point version of his popular "Boot and Belt" model that he calls the "Bitterroot " Hunter. This one has a California Clip point style blade and the rear lanyard tube in the handle. The Clip point design is very controllable as the point is in the same position in relation to the handle centerline as his Drop point design These are flat ground from US made 1095 steel and are 1/8" thick at the spine. It is ground thin with a hand rubbed satin finish with a swedge ground tip . Joshua's deeply stamped "Broadsword" maker's mark is on the blade.. They have an industrial grade heat treat at 59 Rockwell. The knife is 8.75" long with a 4.5" blade. The fit and finish on this knife is top notch. The handle is a sleek birdshead style with with Full Fancy Dark " Flintlock Brown" Curly Maple scales . The wood was hand selected for this knife and is 100% figured with intense Curl. The pictures of this knife DO NOT do the scales justice! They are attached with Brownells Acraglass with heavy gauge hand set brass pins and were finished with Josh's blend of Marine grade Spar varnish and Tung oil for a traditional looking, yet weatherproof finish. One of Josh's shop made Dark Brown Bridle leather sheaths. They are all hand saddle stitched and have a full welt. These are the last of these I will getting at this price with the Fancy Maple scales. I cannot think of a better graduation gift. The price is $105 plus $10 shipping CONUS. PayPal or USPS MO only as payment..Thanks. Sheath design- [/quote] | ||
