I need a set of 270 reloading dies for an experiment; I know someone out there has a set they don't want, so just send them to me; I will pay Priority Mail shipping.
No, I am not actually shooting a 270!
PM me.

As I said, I Definitely am NOT shooting any 270; I need them for an experiment and it has zero to do with the actual 270 cartridge.
I do own several 270 rifles; all destined to be destroyed and the barrels used as pry bars. Done many of them that way.
The 270 Win cartridge would have never been developed if the misguided Americans had any sense after WWW1
The dies will be destroyed and will not be usable when I am done.

The .270 is despised by some only because, as a western deer and sheep rifle, it is already perfect and gun cranks can't make it any better Wink
That is just frustrating to no end... dancing

Remember I have that set of .270 dies where there is a case stuck in one of the dies and the problem is that there is a prier in the case but o bullet or powder. I don;t think I could ship that but maybe you could use that set if I could get it to you,

I would say that a 280 REM is a little bit better than a 270, IMO..

Thanks to all;
Yes, I hate the 270 and have personally removed a couple dozen of them from the earth.
Sure, guys make it work; I have outlined the reasons why it should never have existed.
Frustrated? I have done my job then!
Tiger said it. There were better cartridges available in 1925 but you Americans were afraid of anything metric.
If it was played out in 2025 instead of 1925, the 270 would never have been developed.

You could put the die in a vise and whack the primer with a hammer, maybe it will dislodge the case.

I shipped Tom a set of lyman 270 dies. They volunteered to sacrifice themselves for the good of a project, so no actual 270 is harmed in the process.
