Here is a 1970 vintage German. Diana made .177 cal Winchester 450 Underlever Spring air rifle that I have up for sale.

These were made by Dianawerk in Germany for Winchester from 1968 to 1974. This is the same gun as the classic Diana model 50. It has a short under lever that is hidden in the front of the stock forend (you can see the release button at the tip of the forend) . It loads through the rotating breech tap at the top. A very safe and precise design .

This rifle is stamped MADE IN GERMANY with a April 1970 manufacture date . When these were imported,.they actually cost more than most of Winchester's .22 rimfire powder guns .

These is are heirloom quality rifles. All steel with no plastic or pot metal parts. I would rate the quality at least as good or better than the German Weirauch HW-77 & 97 unlerlever rifles I have owned. Those guns are currently in the $600 to $700 range brand new and I do not believe them to be as well made as this rifle

. It is in very nice 99% condition of both metal and wood . It functions perfectly. This is an adult sized gun at 7.75 lbs with a 13. 75" length of pull. Very comfortable stock with a nice high comb. The gun balances like a full sized bolt actioned rifle and it has a nice 3lb trigger pull.

The rifle is very accurate.When I acquired it, I replaced the plastic factory rear sight with a nice Williams 5D- GR peep attached to the scope rail. I can make ragged hole groups standing at 10 meters- about like a fine Match rifle I can get dime sized groups at 25 yards with H&N FT trophy pellets.

The gun cocks smooth and hits hard .The velocity on these is about 650- 7O0 FPS depending on the pellets used. Same power level as the current HW-50 rifles and relatively quiet.

A great gun for Shoot, collect or maybe hand down to a deserving young shooter.someday.
