Mike I also have an earlier M41 and encountered this same issue you refer to. I found that I could make the new mags entirely useful by clamping the base region of the new mag in a vise. The 1 to 2 thousandths reduction I was able to achieve made them slick as can be, in and out. My M41 serial number is 435XX. regards, Tim 0351 USMC | |||
