Pre 64 MOD 70 standard length Low Comb standard tang 1949 stock. Stock is solid with no cracks.
Nice all original condition uncut stock , metal butt pad, stock needs the varnish redone. Stock checkering still sharp, no major gouges. The original owner hunted a lot in the MN snow and rested the butt of the rifle in the snow while stand hunting thus finnish is all but gone in the last couple of inches of the butt and steel butt plate is rusty. Rest of stock the varnish is flaking. Original swivels but rusty. This would make a great stock for someone who is able to refinish the wood and wants a project. Will only sell to someone after they review a series of photos, again this is a solid original stock but needs to be refinished.
