Shooters! This coming Sunday, 30-Oct will be the quarterly Safari Rifle (Big Bore!) shoot at Phoenix Rod & Gun Club! I am planning a course of fire with five stages totalling 20 shots ranging from reduced-size plains game & cats to full-sized Elephant and charging cape buffalo! Most shots are less than 50 yds actual distance, but on the reduced target that emulates a longer distance. Except for the leopard blind, all shots will be taken standing, sticks are welcome for some stages. You can shoot the same gun for all stages or have fun shooting different guns! Of course the gun should be appropriate to the game you are pretending to shoot. Scoring is hit/wound/miss, and of course if you wound or use an underpowered gun you get extra penalty points for getting trampled or eaten! Winner gets a pith helmet! But if you won in the past you MUST wear your helmet to every future shoot! Everyone who has ever shot this says they had a great time! We will start setting up and signing up before 8 and try to start shooting by 9AM. We should be done early afternoon. More info at: http://arizona-rifleshooting.c...ifle-shoot-PRGC.html PM here or email bill@poole.com Hope you all can make it! Bill Poole PRGC is in south phoenix where 7th AVENUE meets south mountain. http://www.phoenixrodandgun.org/ We'll start on the smallbore range - shoot will be held on smallbore, practical and high power. I will do some set up Saturday afternoon if anyone is there and wants to help. | ||
